In This Bear Market, NFT Communities Still Find Reasons to Celebrate

In This Bear Market, NFT Communities Still Find Reasons to Celebrate

Sometimes, you have to be focused on the positive things in life. Even during economic downturns, it is possible to enjoy good things still. Nice stuff.

That's at least the view offered in the work of Trevor Jones, the OG crypto artist who created the famous NFT work " Bitcoin Angel." Jones, a traditional artist passionate about the relationship between technology and art, put his name in NFT history through the work sold at $3.2 million on February 20, 2021.

It set a record as the highest-priced open-edition NFT artwork to date. Among several, it marked the beginning of 2021's insane NFT market bull. Since then, "Bitcoin Angel" has made more than $7 million in second-party sales of Nifty Gateway.

Today, to be a part of the celebration of the NFT and pay tribute to the community that backed the idea, Jones has announced an exclusive event exclusively for "Bitcoin Angel" holders. The event will occur on the grounds of Stirling Castle in Scotland on July 30, 2022.

The past meets Web3.

The setting for the celebration is as elegant as you can get. In the middle of Scotland, Stirling Castle sits on top of sandstone rock. Through the centuries, the castle shifted between serving as a government seat as well as a royal residence being the residence of the childhood of many of Scotland's most famous historical figures, including Mary the Queen of Scots and James VI.

The event is touted to be the "most extravagant crypto celebration" and, as an additional instance of communities using NFTs based on the location that will be included, is a special edition Castle Party 2022 NFT available only to attendees of the event. More than 300 guests from over 20 nations will be attending.

The attendees will not be lacking entertainment. The event will include DJ RT and performances by the pipe band and tribal drums Clanadonia and sword-wielding warriors at Combat International, and more.

The party was announced in an announcement. Jones said, "When looking for a venue, one location was a perfect fit over other options: the stunning Stirling Castle in the heart of Scotland. It's more than just a party it is a chance to help Scotland and put it in the spotlight in the NFT world, and also through the charity we've chosen to support."

Jones and his team have joined forces together to celebrate the occasion with Maggie's Edinburgh, a charity that provides free cancer support throughout the U.K. The team will directly accept donations in ETH and fiat currencies to the cause. In addition, Trevor will be making an unrestricted donation to the charity following the event.

The crypto confessionals are fueled by whiskey.

NFT whiskey marketplace is sponsoring the event Metacask, Nova Finance, Tokenframe, Saga Cigars, and NFT consulting company and the production company Apollo Entertainment, who will offer a unique Satoshiverse mask for guests at all times.

Jones had previously collaborated in collaboration with Metacask in 2021 to create artwork for the 1995 Macallan 1 of 1 NFT called " The Angel's Share," the world's first scotch cask that has digital artwork.

The party will also offer several prizes, including printed limited-edition prints, an angel T-shirt, the Bitcoin Angel branded Saga cigar, and the possibility of winning 3 original Trevor Jones paintings, one specially designed for the event.

The most bizarre, yet cathartic spin on the event is the possibility of the "confessional booth", which will be operated by the "crypto priest" for listening to crypto confessions of any person who wants to.

The party is extravagant with lavish food and drinks and is extravagant. This can be not easy to appreciate when members of the NFT community are experiencing the market's downturn. However, it's a great reminder that NFT enthusiasts are enjoying themselves and participating in IRL activities despite the community's challenges in the past few months.

Why it matters NFTs are no strangers to the promise of utility. There are even some who argue that imposing utility on an NFT project can hurt its quality. For new NFT projects entering the market, utility remains a top priority - particularly for corporate-backed projects. However, most buyers of things expect to be able to use them after they purchase them. As a result, numerous projects have served as membership passes in the past. There will be a message saying, "Buy our NFT, and you'll get X p...

What are Gas Fees and How Can We Fix Them?

Blockchain transactions were very affordable prior to 2020. With the rise of Web3 & NFTs, mandatory blockchain transaction charges -- also known by gas fees -- are now the greatest barrier to mainstream adoption. Network congestion is what determines the gas price for blockchains like Bitcoin or Ethereum. The network congestion is the reason why the gas fees are higher for more people. Web3's ethos of inclusivity and democracy means that this fundamental scaling problem largely challenges those core tenants. Although gas can seem quite simple in concept, it can be quite complicated under the hood. This explanation explains gas fees and how they work. It also explains what Ethereum and other Blockchains can do to make them cheaper. What's a gas charge?   Gas fees, as defined in our dictionary are payments made to complete transactions on a blockchain. These fees are paid to blockchain miners to cover the computing power required to verify transactions on blockchain. These ...

Can a Major Esports Network Convert NFTs’ Biggest Detractors?

There's more to NFTs than just the dynamic PFP projects you might stumble across when browsing social media. For many, the traditional view of NFTs is rooted in a discipline very different from the realm of arts: play-to-earn (P2E) games . This is particularly true for Asian countries, where P2E games like the struggling Axie Infinity were the most popular in the recent study conducted by CashNetUSA that analyzed the top sought-after NFTs according to region.  Then there's TechStorm , a Singapore-based digital esports platform that intends to act as an international hub on Web3, which will facilitate collaborations ranging from gamesfi (gaming along with decentralized financing) droppings of NFTs DAO formation, and other things, according to the latest press release . Asia's burgeoning NFT market To develop Asia's Web3 services, the geographical location is crucial. CashNetUSA's analysis found Singapore as the most fascinating country for NFTs, per aggregated user ...
