In This Bear Market, NFT Communities Still Find Reasons to Celebrate

Sometimes, you have to be focused on the positive things in life. Even during economic downturns, it is possible to enjoy good things still. Nice stuff.

That's at least the view offered in the work of Trevor Jones, the OG crypto artist who created the famous NFT work " Bitcoin Angel." Jones, a traditional artist passionate about the relationship between technology and art, put his name in NFT history through the work sold at $3.2 million on February 20, 2021.

It set a record as the highest-priced open-edition NFT artwork to date. Among several, it marked the beginning of 2021's insane NFT market bull. Since then, "Bitcoin Angel" has made more than $7 million in second-party sales of Nifty Gateway.

Today, to be a part of the celebration of the NFT and pay tribute to the community that backed the idea, Jones has announced an exclusive event exclusively for "Bitcoin Angel" holders. The event will occur on the grounds of Stirling Castle in Scotland on July 30, 2022.

The past meets Web3.

The setting for the celebration is as elegant as you can get. In the middle of Scotland, Stirling Castle sits on top of sandstone rock. Through the centuries, the castle shifted between serving as a government seat as well as a royal residence being the residence of the childhood of many of Scotland's most famous historical figures, including Mary the Queen of Scots and James VI.

The event is touted to be the "most extravagant crypto celebration" and, as an additional instance of communities using NFTs based on the location that will be included, is a special edition Castle Party 2022 NFT available only to attendees of the event. More than 300 guests from over 20 nations will be attending.

The attendees will not be lacking entertainment. The event will include DJ RT and performances by the pipe band and tribal drums Clanadonia and sword-wielding warriors at Combat International, and more.

The party was announced in an announcement. Jones said, "When looking for a venue, one location was a perfect fit over other options: the stunning Stirling Castle in the heart of Scotland. It's more than just a party it is a chance to help Scotland and put it in the spotlight in the NFT world, and also through the charity we've chosen to support."

Jones and his team have joined forces together to celebrate the occasion with Maggie's Edinburgh, a charity that provides free cancer support throughout the U.K. The team will directly accept donations in ETH and fiat currencies to the cause. In addition, Trevor will be making an unrestricted donation to the charity following the event.

The crypto confessionals are fueled by whiskey.

NFT whiskey marketplace is sponsoring the event Metacask, Nova Finance, Tokenframe, Saga Cigars, and NFT consulting company and the production company Apollo Entertainment, who will offer a unique Satoshiverse mask for guests at all times.

Jones had previously collaborated in collaboration with Metacask in 2021 to create artwork for the 1995 Macallan 1 of 1 NFT called " The Angel's Share," the world's first scotch cask that has digital artwork.

The party will also offer several prizes, including printed limited-edition prints, an angel T-shirt, the Bitcoin Angel branded Saga cigar, and the possibility of winning 3 original Trevor Jones paintings, one specially designed for the event.

The most bizarre, yet cathartic spin on the event is the possibility of the "confessional booth", which will be operated by the "crypto priest" for listening to crypto confessions of any person who wants to.

The party is extravagant with lavish food and drinks and is extravagant. This can be not easy to appreciate when members of the NFT community are experiencing the market's downturn. However, it's a great reminder that NFT enthusiasts are enjoying themselves and participating in IRL activities despite the community's challenges in the past few months.

What are Gas Fees and How Can We Fix Them?

Blockchain transactions were very affordable prior to 2020. With the rise of Web3 & NFTs, mandatory blockchain transaction charges -- also known by gas fees -- are now the greatest barrier to mainstream adoption. Network congestion is what determines the gas price for blockchains like Bitcoin or Ethereum. The network congestion is the reason why the gas fees are higher for more people. Web3's ethos of inclusivity and democracy means that this fundamental scaling problem largely challenges those core tenants. Although gas can seem quite simple in concept, it can be quite complicated under the hood. This explanation explains gas fees and how they work. It also explains what Ethereum and other Blockchains can do to make them cheaper. What's a gas charge?   Gas fees, as defined in our dictionary are payments made to complete transactions on a blockchain. These fees are paid to blockchain miners to cover the computing power required to verify transactions on blockchain. These

Should NFT Creators Expect Royalties? Sudoswap Says No

Reator royalties have been a major part of the NFT market over the years.   Artists of all faiths were able to survive in the early days Web3.0 creative economy by a combination of primary sales and kickbacks from secondary market royalties. Despite being crucial, creator royalties are not hard-coded into any smart contracts.   Creator royalties  also known as creator fees  are an option that is used to reserve a percentage of secondary sales (peer to peer trades), and send it back to the NFTs originalator. Most collectors don't mind paying an artist a royalty fee when collecting secondaries.   It's almost impossible to avoid paying creator royalty fees in the NFT space, even though it is an option.   This could be either a good thing or a bad thing depending on your source. Decentralized payments are made through centralized means. OpenSea is an example: When an artist's NFT sells in the secondary market on OS the platform receives the royalty through the transaction.   Op

What the Proposed Crypto Bill Could Mean for NFTs

After months of speculation about the possibility of a new U.S. regulator focusing on cryptocurrency, U.S. Senators Cynthia Lummis (R-WY) from the Senate Banking Committee and Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) from the Senate Agriculture Committee introduced bipartisan legislation on Tuesday. Although the  document's 69-page length  doesn't deal with NFTs, it provides important information to determine if a token should be classified as a commodity rather than a security.' More News: Latest NFT News Definition of "digital assets" as well as 'virtual currencies In its current version, Lummis and Gillibrand's bill defines a "digital asset' as an electronic asset that grants access rights for economic or proprietary reasons or powers, including virtual currencies and payment stablecoins. The bill defines "virtual currency" as a digital asset used "primarily" as a medium for exchange, the unit of account, or store of value that is not supp
